I mapped all 16 World Cup 2026 Stadiums, to scale.
The biggest ever World Cup: three host countries, 48 teams, 16 stadiums, 104 matches spread across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It's hard to imagine all of that at once.
So I tried to put the whole tournament on a single screen from a bird's eye view. Every stadium here is a real piece of aerial 3D imagery, pulled from Google's Photorealistic 3D Tiles. I cropped each one to the exact same 750-metre square of ground, turned them all to face true north, and viewed them from the same angle in isometric perspective.
That last part is the whole point. Because every tile is identical in size and orientation, you can actually compare the venues — the sprawling, parking-ringed scale of AT&T Stadium next to the tight downtown setting of BC Place in Vancouver, or the iconic bowl of Estadio Azteca, the first ground to host matches at three different World Cups.
They're ordered by capacity, from AT&T's 94,000 seats down to BMO Field's 45,000.
The numbers behind it: 16 cities, 48 teams, 104 matches, 1,248 players, from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
A whole continent of football, shrunk to the same footprint, side by side.
